Toro Greensmaster 1000
The Greensmaster 1000 is the 21-inch walk-behind that most private greens and putting surfaces are cut with. It is simple, durable, and worth rebuilding rather than replacing.
What we do with a GM1000
We buy, service, remanufacture and fully rebuild GM1000s. A full rebuild takes the machine back to bare metal: sandblasted and powder-coated frame, new engine, new reel and bedknife, and every bearing, belt and seal replaced.
Common GM1000 work
Reel and bedknife grinding, engine replacement with a new Robin EX17, bearing and seal replacement, groomer and transport wheel fitment, and full cutting-unit setup with the reel-to-bedknife contact set to specification.
Buying a used GM1000
Look at reel diameter remaining, bedknife thickness, hours, and whether the machine has been recently ground. A correctly set machine will shear a strip of paper cleanly across the full width of the reel.
